July 1 for the Fall Session
Friends and family have established the Mark Perry Memorial Scholarship to honor the memory of Mark, a beloved equine dentist who practiced up and down the East coast and was known widely for his caring and professional care of hundreds of horses. Mark cared for the horses at Windrush Farm and several other therapeutic riding centers. He understood the value of therapeutic riding and horse-related activities for children and adults with physical, cognitive or emotional challenges.
The Mark Perry Memorial Scholarship is for a session of therapeutic riding lessons or horse related activities at Windrush Farm, in North Andover. This new scholarship is for a participant aged 6 plus with physical, developmental or emotional challenges whose family qualifies on financial need and consideration of circumstances. The scholarship is for an individual who has not participated in a therapeutic riding or unmounted program previously. The scholarship recipient will receive a 100% award to cover the cost of a Spring or Fall session.
Note: Minimum age 6 years. Weight limit for riders is 185 lbs. Riding lessons are group lessons. Physician’s statement required. If riding is not possible an unmounted program will be offered. Windrush Staff can assist with completing an application form,
